I can't believe I've been finishing a new piece every week!

Pastels have truly, truly changed my life lol. The fact that they are so easy to use and easy to spread across large spaces really decreases the time I actually spend on each piece. My last few pieces have averaged about 4-5 hours. A color pencil piece would've taken three times as long. I haven't quit color pencils though! I plan to do something with them soon. They are still my first love. It's just so exciting executing all my art ideas so quickly. And I gotta admit, my pastel pieces cross over so much better to prints and apparel than color pencil does. They just make life easier all together.

I started a new piece today, still untitled. I can't figure out what to name it. I've been trying to think of something that embodies the emotions I was feeling at the time I posed for this photo (depression and anger). Maybe someone can help me with that?

I'm loving this color palette that I chose to use though.

I've been contemplating whether or not I should start doing voice-overs in my upcoming timelapse videos on youtube. It seems to be a popular trend among artists...and their fans seem to love it. But I guess I shy away from it in fear of sounding repetitive or looking like a copy-cat lol. If any of my supporters are interested in that though, I may just figure out a way to make it extra personal so it can only come from me. Maybe I'll do like an extension of what I talk about on this blog for each piece.

Don't forget to check out my latest timelapse video, "Cloud 9", below :)
