so much to do, so little time

I'm so happy to be in my room right now with the sun shining through my window and nothing but peace and quiet in the house. My little baby nephew and his mom moved out yesterday and I was so focused on how much I was gonna miss them being here, that I didn't realize how convenient everything was gonna be from now on lol. Specifically, the fact that I'm gonna have so much more time to work on art on the weekend because I won't be babysitting. I love my nephew but I couldn't get ANYTHING done lol. I've been working on my current project for almost a month now and it's something I could have easily gotten done in a week and a half. Made hella progress last night though! Riz is coming out so beautifully. It's a complete turnaround from the last piece I worked on which went completely wrong. I couldn't be happier with how this painting is turning out.

I recently did a review on the canvas I use for my pastel paintings, which is Ampersand pastelbord. A lot of people have asked me what paper I use for my pastels and were surprised to discover that I don't use paper at all (at least not anymore). I talk about the advantages of using the board in terms of results and framing, as well as give a demo of how it is to use them, so check that video out below if you're interested!

That's all I have for today.... when I'm able to get more projects finished, I'll have more updates lol.
